FOREWORD
REV. ROB FUQUAY
SENIOR PASTOR
ST. LUKE'S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
"If you've gone through a loss that makes you second guess yourself or leaves you feeling as if your life has been erased, you need to read this book. If you believe in God but it has been so long since you've felt God's presence that you are starting to question if you have any faith at all, you need to read this book. If religious activities bring little joy and cause you to ask, "Why bother?" then you need to read this book. If your love and passion and excitement for living all feel as though they are evaporating, you must read this book.
Jody has a story to share and so do you. All of our stories start and end with God. Life and faith are what happen between our beginning and ending regardless of whether or not we are persons of faith. More important than what we believe about God is the knowledge that God believes in us."
ENDORSEMENTS
My people matter. It is a message that every individual needs to hear. In a world that is so accessible and yet so broken, this book gives both a timely and timeless message. It is in this space that Jody masterfully and graciously reminds us of who and what we are called and created to be. Her willingness to answer this call will inspire generations to come to be Silent No More.
What is our Creator's wish for us and why is it so often buried in a hoard of assumed obligations and external expectations? Ultimately, it was in confronting her tremendous challenges that Jody returned to where she'd begun, in understanding and embrace of God's love and commandment for each of us. The fog of toxic relationships and deep personal loss is lifted through insightful questions and thoughtful response revealing a course for us all. If God believes that we matter, why don't we believe it?
